Our Volunteers
Nothing ever happens without the help of our wonderful volunteers, not only for panto but for the Lea Memorial Theatre as well.
During the year there are a group of people who we just couldn’t do without and then at the end of the year for panto, parents, grandparents, uncles, aunties all assist. The dancing troupe would not exist without the generous help of all concerned.
Let me introduce you to some of the team who are around all year.
Bio Box
Brett Prentis, Peter Horgan,Sandra Prentis and Jonathan Davison. They are responsible for sound, lighting, special effects, curtain controllers and DVD production. Along with countless other jobs during the year.
Front of house, canteen, tickets and raffles
Tania Bailey, Jodie Bailey, Ann Screen, Verna Collins, Rini McLachlin along with senior students, parents and grandparents who assist when needed are responsible for the front of house and the canteen . These ladies make themselves available to help out with all of the jobs for front of house and so much more.
Costumes
Ethel Anderson and Lindy Madigan are responsible for the costumes that the students and cast wear, but they are ably assisted by Kate Fitzgerald, Ann Marie Siguit, Grace Spencer and Heather Krebs. Our costume team regularly spends more on costume than the students pay for. We use our fundraising to help with keeping our costs down.
As you can see the show does not just happen and assistance from parents is encouraged. If you would like to assist in any way then please do not hesitate let us know, we can always find something for you to do. Remember no special talent is required, we have all had to learn along the way.
